Fountain of Sisterhood (FOS) is a community-rooted initiative dedicated to uplifting, educating, and supporting Revert and Born Returned Muslim women at every stage of their spiritual and personal journey in Islam. Since 2004, FOS has been serving revert women and the wider Muslim community, offering a supportive and nurturing space grounded in compassion, faith, and authentic Islamic knowledge.
A revert's journey to Islam is a unique experience and one that should be filled with growth in faith, a deepening love for Islam, a desire to connect with Allah (swt), and a sincere search for truth. Yet, while the path is noble and beautiful, it can also feel overwhelming for many reverts, as their transition is often met with various emotional, social, and spiritual challenges.
Unlike those born into the faith, reverts often navigate an entirely new way of life without the guidance of family or a built-in support system. Their path requires patience, learning, and strong emotional and spiritual grounding as they rebuild their identity through the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
This is where the Fountain of Sisterhood (FOS) becomes a vital source of support.
As a support group run for reverts by reverts, we have a direct and heartfelt understanding of what a revert experiences when she embraces Islam. We know firsthand what are the challenges that arise, and we recognize the guidance, sisterhood, and compassion that are needed during a revert's transition.
FOS walks alongside reverts with care and understanding, offering a nurturing community where they feel seen, heard, and uplifted. Through a range of thoughtfully designed supports, we provide a variety of programs, including essential Islamic learning rooted in building īmān, emotional and spiritual development, one-on-one coaching, sisterhood circles, Qur'an learning, practical life skills that foster Islamic manners and character, mentorship, and transitional guidance into a new way of life as a Muslim and the merging into the Muslim community as a whole.
FOS is humbled to be a part of this amazing process of supporting Revert and Born Returned Muslim women and we will continue to serve as a beacon for women seeking clarity, belonging, and spiritual growth nurturing faith, one heart at a time. By the permission of Allah (swt).
We aim to ensure that no revert is ever left behind, and that every sister finds the support, connection, and confidence she needs to thrive in building her connection to Allah(swt) and embracing her Identity as a New Muslim.
